New Direction

Living in a world where everybody is trying to be somebody
Chasing the hype of fortune and fame from a TV scene 
but I'm ok being a nobody and unseen to the popular ones
Staying behind the scenes of the enemy is where I need to be
Tryna reach the broken who's eyes can't seem to see
the shallow but deep assurance in the Son of God
Cause their eyes are blinded by satans Facade
Lusting for the physical they see
Yeah that used to be me 

BUT I'VE BEEN CHANGED 

I used to fight on these streets bloody knuckles 
Quick hands lurking for the next contender to compete
Red eyed high as a plane with no love circulating in me
Till twenty fifteen Jesus got ahold of me
Opened my heart then put His spirit inside of me
Deception had no choice but to flee from me
Clear eyed now with a purpose to be
To someone else what He's been to me

Thank you Lord for not leaving me
Stuck in the darkness that incarcerated me
You stepped down to come and get me
Started walking before me so Your path I'd see
Lighting my way keeping hidden enemies from getting me
Lord I love you cause You first loved me

Now I preach on these streets
Kingdom purpose to reach the broken like He Reached me
Should've been dead many times but Jesus kept reviving me
Snatching me from the grave that was vacuuming me
I didn't know it then but He has a plan for me
Sharing my testimony with others that they may believe 
He can save anybody if He saved a wretched man like me
I don't do this for my own pedestal to stand
My soul reason is to glorify the Son of Man
He pulled me from drug addiction fornication adultery and more
New set a wings under His blood from the scares He bore
In His hands lifted up over mistakes I sore


Thank you Lord for not leaving me

every morning He opens my eyes rewriting the end satan had for me as my demise
