God chose who He wanted to extend through eternity
When He wrote the first book
Plenty of people are doing different things
With a mind saying Please look look
Look at me
Wanting to be somebody with a life
Staining their name somewhere it will never remain
Hollywood movies football fields inside courts too
But why are so few with the ability to do what we all should do
Promote the birth life and death of the essence of truth
But nah the world's like Look at me Look at me
But the spectacles I see will soon expire like me
We have to turn the lens back to get the right focus
To clear up the clouds of all this hocus pocus
The enemies have blinded the world blinded veils that are everywhere
Rarely hearing the name Jesus circulating out there
Mind says this life is all about me me meeeeeee
I'm in control and do what I wanna do
If you're thinking like that then the enemy already has you
There's no greater life above THE life of Jesus our Lord and our KING
Jesus Christ is the name that will forever be
THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES
It really doesn't and it never should
BE ABOUT YOU OR ME
Our names and our statuses little pedestal stands
Won't matter in the end when before Lord Jesus I stand

Used to be a selfless world with people putting people first
Helped a fella out when he was broke dying of thirst
What we see nowadays is rising divisions
Can't put down their phone to make logical decisions

Just how different it is now from when you grew up in it
Seems to me everyone's getting ambitious and selfish
It's not about us or anything we achieve only what we believe
In the Man Savior Jesus our Lord and our King
