Dark atmospheric alternative metal with haunting ambience and emotional female vocals. Begin with distant reverb and a melancholic clean guitar melody. Verses should feel intimate, vulnerable, and restrained, with vocals becoming increasingly desperate as the song progresses. Build tension through the pre-choruses before exploding into massive melodic choruses with distorted guitars, powerful drums, soaring vocals, and atmospheric layers. Make Verse 2 darker and increasingly unstable. Strip the bridge down around “I told you not to follow… You never listened, ” with near silence before a crushing impact. “YOU FOLLOWED ME INTO THE DARK” should erupt into an aggressive breakdown with screamed vocals, low-tuned guitars, heavy drums, and cinematic atmosphere.
