[ A gospel rock anthem inspired by my own journey and purpose ]

I saw the light, but I wasn't done,
Heaven opened—but I had to run.
Fell back to Earth with a brand-new flame,
A second chance and a sacred name.

I was lying still, my breath was gone,
Felt the pull of the angel's song.
Rushing through that tunnel bright,
I saw the gate, I touched the light.

Voices called from beyond the veil,
Loved ones young and strong and pale.
But one man stood with a book in hand,
He said, "Not yet. You've got to stand."

I was on the edge of heaven,
With the stars beneath my feet,
Felt the warmth of something holy,
Heard my own heart skip a beat.
But the Lord said, “Son, not your time,”
And He sent me back to try—
To live, to love, to testify.

I woke with fire inside my soul,
The breath of life, a brand-new goal.
With broken bones and tear-streaked eyes,
But stronger than I’d ever realized.

And I came back with truth to tell.
