Carnival Days are here

I still remember when I was young

We’d head to the fair when the evening begun

You could smell the sweet dough in the air

Oliebollen candy love everywhere

French fries sizzling sugar clouds spin

The laughter starts before you even go in

We’d chase the lights hearts open wide

Magic was waiting on the other side

Oh ooo those carnival days how they used to shine

Neon dreams and a Beautiful summertime

Riding the Ferris wheel

seeing the town

Feeling on top never coming down

The music played the lights would gleam

Those carnival days still live in my dreams

Bumper cars with my best friends by

Crashing and laughing till tears filled our eyes

The Octopus spinning round and round

Till the world felt like it left the ground

Shooting for prizes a teddy bear won

Or taking a photo just two as one

Enterprise flipped us upside down and up

We screamed with joy no fear no throwing up

Oh, those carnival days how they used to shine

Neon dreams and the summertime

Haunted houses moving floors

Echoed laughter slamming doors

Basketballs bouncing the punching game

Crowds would cheer when they called your name

And through it all what I recall

Is how we smiled one and all

Oh those carnival days under moonlit skies

Candy and laughter in our eyes

Every spin, every song that played

Still dances inside the memories we made

Yeah, those carnival days so wild and free
