They say “man up,” but they don’t see the scars inside,

Pressure on my back, no room to complain,

They just say “tough it out,” don’t acknowledge the pain,

But I keep pushin’ forward ‘cause retreatin’s in vain.

Respect ain’t given, you grind just to earn it,

You bleed for the table, they still overturn it,

You give all your soul and they barely discern it,

But bein’ a man means you carry the burden.
