I was blurry in the mirror, too hard on myself Seeking my worth in hurtful attentions I confused silence with inner strength I kept everything bottled up inside, convinced I was the best I wanted to please, prove myself, tick all the boxes Shine bright quickly without understanding the basics But each fall taught me the price of calm Nothing solid is built in a clamor

I understood that growing up Means losing versions of yourself Accepting having committed a crime Without denying who you already were

I'm changing, without betraying my roots I'm moving forward, even if the road slopes down Less noise, more control I become what I decide It's no longer a race for attention Nor the fear of being late It's the man I choose to be Who writes the next chapter

I no longer strive for perfection Just consistency with my plans Every effort becomes a building block Every mistake becomes a lesson I no longer speak to impress I build to last Less ego, more vision Less doubt, more action

Evolution is silent It's seen in the choices we no longer run from In the battles we face Without seeking the world's applause
