Verse 1
The world is torn by anger and division,
Hearts grow heavy with the weight of hate.
But on the cross, You showed another vision,
Love unending, stronger than the grave.
Verse 2
They cursed You, struck You, and rejected,
Yet mercy was the answer from Your lips.
“Father, forgive them, they know not what they do,”
A love so pure it heals, it always lifts.
Verse 3
Not love of comfort, not love of ease,
But love that bears the scars of sacrifice.
Love that gives when nothing is returned,
Love that sees through Your eternal eyes.
Verse 4
Teach us, Lord, to walk in Your compassion,
To lay our judgments, bitterness, and pride.
For only when we love like our Father,
True peace and holy joy can dwell inside.
Verse 5
Everlasting is the love You’ve given,
A fountain flowing, endless, full, and free.
The only way to find real life and freedom,
Is loving others as You first loved me.
