“When I Don’t Know the Way”

I’ve been asking questions in the silence,

Praying for a voice, just one clear sign.

Staring at the ceiling late at night,

Wonderin’ if I’m wrong or if I’m right.

I’ve tried to fix it all with my two hands,

But every plan I make just slips like sand.

And I’m tired of walking blind, chasing dreams that fade—

I need You, Lord, I need to be led by grace.

When I don’t know the way,

Be the light that leads me on.

When my strength starts to break,

Be the arms I lean upon.

I’ve been running, but now I see—

What I needed was right in front of me.

So I’m laying it down, come what may…

Lead me, Lord, when I don’t know the way.

I’ve been holding tight to all my questions,

Trying to outpace every lesson.

But the more I strive, the less I grow,

'Cause peace don’t live in what I know.

There’s a voice I’ve been drowning in the noise—

Telling me, “My child, you still have a choice.”

To stop the fight, and follow in the light—

Even if the road don’t look right.

When I don’t know the way,

Be the light that leads me on.

When my faith starts to fade,

Be the truth that keeps me strong.

I’ve been falling, but now I rise—

With Your love that never lies.

I’m trusting You more every day…

Lead me, Lord, when I don’t know the way.

I’m done trying to be the answer,

Done hiding all my pain.

I’m yours, even in my weakness,

So take this heart and reign.

When I don’t know the way,

Be the light that gets me through.

When I don’t have the words to pray,

Still, I’ll reach for You.

I’ve been lost, but I’m not ashamed—

'Cause even lost, You call my name.

So here I am, Lord—come what may…
