Cold start, blue haze in the air
Dashboard glow like a warning prayer
Streetlights drag in a broken line
Lost another hour to the interstate signs
Blacktop calling like it knows my name
Every mile feels the same
Rearview full of ghosts I knew
City disappears when I punch right through
And the tires sing
Like they got something to prove
No destination, only motion
Only things I never say out loud
Hands shake on the wheel sometimes
But the engine never asks me why
So I keep that throttle breathing
Like the night and I got unfinished business
Exit signs blur into static rain
Heartbeat synced with the lane change
Too fast to think, too slow to heal
But for a second out here everything feels real
