In the valley where the silence held its breath,
A giant spoke fear louder than death.
Steel and armor, the ground would shake,
While hope stood small by a riverbank.

The bravery of David was deeper than the story told,
More than just a shepherd boy, young and bold.
He knew who walked beside him, night and day,
So fear had no power when faith showed the way.

Verse 2
Every man in the village kept his eyes on the ground,
Praying someone else would make the sound.
But a child heard a calling they all ignored,
Saw a false god fall before the Lord.

It wasn’t strength of muscle or the weight of a sword,
It was knowing every step was watched by the Lord.

He knelt by the river where the water ran clear,
Found three smooth stones, no trace of fear.
A sling in his hand, a prayer in his breath,
Trusting God more than life or death.

They laughed at the courage in the boy’s young eyes,

Just a battle where God would make His name.
