Fallen days

The sky is blue, my nose is red,

And I’m upset I had to get out of bed.

I step outside, I stepped on some leaves,

Now it’s time to leave.

And then somebody told me,

“That you’ll be just fine.”

And you know what I told him?

Who do you think you are though,

Telling me my throat is not gonna implode?

I think I think I know myself—

Don’t tell me I’m fine when I feel half-dead.

This fall’s got me sick, yeah I’m cold to the core,

The wind’s still mad, it slaps my face,

I sneeze again,(*sneezes) that’s number ten,

This flu’s my only loyal friend.

I crash on my bed, can’t feel my toes,

These fallen days just won’t let go.
