Shadows of the Heart

Shadows dance around my mind tonight

Lost in echoes of my silent cry

Fighting demons, feeling blind

Is there hope I’ll ever find?

Walking through a storm inside my soul

Broken pieces, try to make me whole

Every step I take feels so cold

Dreams of peace, stories untold

Sinking deeper in my despair

Searching for someone who might care

But all I see are scars and tears

Facing down my biggest fears

Is there a light at the end of this night?

Fading hope, losing the fight

Just wanna find my way home

In this dark, all alone

Will I ever break free?

From this pain haunting me

The only peace I’ll ever know

Is in the cold undertow

Whispered voices call my name

Haunting thoughts I can't tame

Yearning for a break in the rain

Hoping one day I’ll feel again

Maybe in another life or time

Peace awaits beyond this climb

Till then I’ll silently grieve
