I walked through fire, never felt the flame

Lost in the silence, calling out my name

A child of sorrow, born to bear the fight

But every battle stole a piece of light

I chased the stars, thought they’d lead me home

But every dream just left me more alone

They made me strong, but not enough to heal

This hollow heart that forgot how to feel

Was I a sinner, or just a child?

Taught to survive, to never be mild

Can broken wings still learn to fly?

Or am I just meant to say goodbye?

I'm a shadow in the light, a ghost beneath the sky

Fighting in a world that forgot how to cry

They call me a hero, but I know the truth

I was born to break, not born to soothe

I saw the ruins of all we once believed

Truth was a dagger hidden in the sheath

I screamed for justice, but the world was deaf

Now I just whisper to what's left

If there's a god, do they hear the pain?

Or do they watch us burn in endless rain?
