Verse 1 – Nebuchadnezzar’s dream (Daniel 2)
King Nebby had a dream in a Babylon night,
Saw a terrible statue in the torch‑fire light.
Head of gold shinin’ over desert sand,
But the fear of the Lord shook that mighty man.
Daniel said, “O king, this is history’s frame,
Every metal, every kingdom, every rise and fade.
But there’s a Rock from Heaven not cut by a hand,
Gonna crush that image, gonna rule this land.”
### Chorus – All about the Son of Man
It’s all ‘bout the Son of Man, not just a man,
He’s the Rock and the Word and the Great I AM.
Every life, every story, every breath we take,
Is the Potter huntin’ treasure in His mortal clay.
From the lion’s den floor to Golgotha’s hill,
He’s the Shepherd of the sheep and He keeps them still.
### Verse 2 – Head of gold and chest of silver
Head of gold in Babylon, proud and tall,
But a furnace and a lion’s den stared down that wall.
Three men in the fire, one like the Son of God,
Walkin’ in the flames where no chains could trod.
Chest and arms of silver took their turn,
Medes and Persians with a law so firm.
But a hand wrote words on a palace wall,
“Numbered, weighed, divided”—watch the mighty fall.
### Verse 3 – Belly and thighs of bronze (the turning point)
Belly and thighs of bronze through the ancient lands,
Prophets cryin’ warnings, law in holy hands.
Israel stumblin’, kings fallin’ low,
Still the promise of a Savior in the desert glow.
Then the story finds its center in a manger stall,
Son of Man, Son of God, born to bear it all.
Walkin’ Galilee dust with a shepherd’s eyes,
Callin’ sinners, healin’ broken, makin’ dead men rise.
### Chorus – Only one way
It’s all ‘bout the Son of Man, not just a man,
He’s the Way, Truth, Life in a dying land.
Every saint, every sinner, every tear and fight,
Is the Potter pullin’ pride out and pourin’ in light.
From Abraham’s tent to the empty grave,
There’s one scarred Savior and one sure way.
### Verse 4 – Thighs and the two ways (left and right)
Now we’ve come to the thighs, to His left and right,
Two roads in the valley in the Savior’s sight.
Narrow way of the Shepherd, wide road of the crowd,
One bends the knee, one walks too proud.
The D2 statue’s got a left‑leg drawl,
Draggin’ like a chain through a dying fall.
Tryin’ to stall God’s Word, tryin’ to choke that seed,
But time belongs to Yahweh and He lets it breathe.
### Verse 5 – Time belongs to God
Every tick, every tock, every sunrise flame,
God owns the hours, God calls the name.
He lets His Word ride one more day,
Searching for red clay hearts that won’t turn away.
All of life is a hunt for the One,
The only begotten, Yahweh’s Son.
He’s not just a teacher or a prophet in sand,
He’s the Lord of lords with your soul in His hand.
### Verse 6 – Feet of iron and clay, mingled seed (Daniel 2:43)
Down at the feet where the story runs thin,
Iron and clay, kingdoms soaked in sin.
End part one
