My future

I started as a boy with a head full of dreams,

Trying to find my way through the cracks and the seams.

I made some mistakes, had some lessons to learn,

Took a few hard hits just to finally turn.

I became half a man, still searching for my place,

Still carrying the weight of the past on my face.

But somewhere in the struggle, something changed in me,

I found the man I was always supposed to be.

Now I look in the mirror and I finally see,

A man with a purpose, a family to lead.

Not perfect, not fearless, but willing to stand,

Building tomorrow with these two hands.

I’m becoming the man I was meant to be,

A father to two little souls looking up to me.

I wanna give them a life full of love and light,

Be there through the wrong and celebrate the right.

And I see their mother standing next to me,

Walking down that road where we’re meant to be.

One day I’ll put a ring on her hand,

And build our forever the best way I can.

I see little footsteps running through our home,

No more wondering if they’ll ever feel alone.

Family pictures hanging up on the wall,

A place they can run when the whole world feels small.

I’ll teach them to fight, but teach them to love,

To keep moving forward when the road gets rough.

And if they ever stumble, I’ll help them stand,

Just like life taught me how to become a man.

I’m not who I was, and I’m proud of that,

I turned my scars into a roadmap.

From a boy, to half a man, to who I am today,

I’m building a future that’s here to stay.

I’m becoming the man I was meant to be,

A father to two amazing kids beside me.

With their mother, my best friend, my home, my heart,

We’ll build something stronger than where we started.

Someday we’ll look back at the life that we made,

All the storms we survived, every choice that we faced.

A wedding, a family, a future so bright—

I’ll spend the rest of my life making sure they’re alright.
