Shadows of the Night

Walking through the shadows of the night,

Feeling lost in the fading light.

Trying to find the reason why,

Every step forward just makes me cry.

Every time I rise, I fall again,

Like the waves crashing, relentless pain.

Chasing dreams that slip away,

In a world that’s cold, I stray.

Is there a purpose to these fights?

Or is darkness filling up my nights?

Questioning if it'll ever change,

Living life feeling so strange.

Why does good come with pain?

Why do tears fall like rain?

Wishing for a brighter day,

But darkness keeps me at bay.

Living to die, dying to live,

Caught in this endless give and take.

Searching for a way to heal,

But unsure if I can seal.

No stress, no worries, no pain,

A world where love remains.

But this life’s a heavy chain,

Bound in sorrow, bound in rain.

Yet somewhere deep inside,

A flicker, a hope, a silent guide.

Maybe someday, the sun will shine,

Break through fears, make me feel alive.

Until then, I’ll carry on,

In this battle, till the dawn.
