I was raised on red dirt roads,

Sunday sermons and fishing poles.

But I had a heart full of thorns and lies,

Tryna chase peace I couldn’t buy.

Whiskey nights and wasted days,

Lost my soul in them sideways ways.

Till I hit my knees in that broken barn,

Felt the fire of grace in my sinner's heart.

Them chains broke off, I’m a free man walkin’,

Jesus called my name, now the devil's just talkin’.

Was blind but now I see,

A child of God, yeah, that’s me.

No shame, no guilt, no sin holdin’ on—

I’m washed in the blood, and the past is gone.

Yo, I came from the mud with a heart full of pride,

Thought I could run, but I couldn’t hide.

Sin had a grip, had me locked in tight,

But Jesus showed up in the middle of night.

He said, "Son, you don’t have to carry that load,

I paid it in full on Calvary’s road."

Now I ride clean, no guilt on my name,

Saved by the King, I ain't playin' no games.
