The neon lights are buzzing, the jukebox plays a tune,

I’m nursing whiskey slowly, beneath the silver moon.

Boots scuff against the floorboards, the laughter starts to rise,

Then she walks in, a wildflower, with stars caught in her eyes.

Her hair’s a golden sunrise, her smile cuts through the haze,

She’s got a way about her, that makes my heart ablaze.

She sits down by the counter, orders something neat,

I gather up my courage as I slide into her seat.
