Whispers of the night, shadows on my mind

Dreams so distant, hopes I can't find

Every step I take, feel the weight of the world

Trying to touch the sky, but somehow I'm hurled

Back to the ground, where I once believed

Lost in the noise, in the lies I perceive

They laugh and dance, their joy so loud

While I stand silent, hidden in the crowd

Wishing I was there, feeling the beat

But I'm far away, in lonely defeat

Life ain't fair, doesn't seem to care

When your dreams are high, but you're grounded there

Friends in the lights, I’m crossing the seas

Chasing a hope, haunted by these memories

Hometown parties, laughter in the air

I see their faces, I see their flair

While I’m fighting fears, drowning my tears

Struggling alone, faced with unseen tears

They don’t see the pain beneath my smile

Walking this path, mile after mile

Trying to hold on to what’s true

While the world keeps turning, feeling so blue

Life ain't fair, it loves to play

Tearing dreams apart, taking them away

Friends in the night, living their fun

While I chase shadows, trying to outrun
