Her eyes are storms they pull me in

A whirlpool of trouble I can't swim

The poet’s got a secret Locked up tight

Lost in her gaze I’m losing the fight

Sky blues burning me alive

I’m sinking fast but I wanna dive

Hypnotized by her sky blues

Trapped in a trance I didn’t choose

For a moment or two The world just fades

The poet’s got tonight But he’s Afraid

Words crumble like dust in my hands

The bravest heart can’t make a stand

Her smile’s a weaponSharp as steel

I’m breaking apart Afraid she’ll feel

Sky blues tearing through my chest

Can’t let her know Can’t confess

Poet’s baby blues caught her sky blues

Locked in a stare No time to choose

Words got stuck like gum on my shoe

Her gaze cuts deep It’s nothing new

Sky blues I’m lost I’m through Hypnotized

Paralyzed What can I do For a moment or two

It’s just me and you Poet’s got tonight

But what about you Her eyes like oceans

Pulling me in A tidal wave of trouble under my skin

I wanna tell her But where do I begin The fear of her knowing feels like a sin Heart’s beating wild

It’s a runaway train Truth in my throat but it’s wrapped in chain Sky blues I’m lost I’m through

Hypnotized.Paralyzed What can I do For a moment or two It’s just me and you Poet’s got tonight

But what about you If I said it out loud

Would she stay Or turn those blues and walk away

I’m a poet with words I can’t even say

The sky’s on fire But I’m stuck in gray

Hypnotized by her sky blues Caught in a dream I didn’t choose For a moment or two I’m not alright I'm afraid The poet’s got tonight
