THAT'S MY SAVIOR
A Declaration for the Body of Christ
That's my Savior!
I wonder, do you know Him today?
He's not my lawgiver - He's my Savior!
He's not my taskmaster - He's my Savior!
He's not my judge - He's my Savior!
He's the Savior who saved me apart from my works.
He's the Savior who justified me while I was ungodly.
He's the Savior who loved me when I was dead in trespasses and sins.
He reconciled me when I was His enemy.
He accepted me in the Beloved - not because I was lovely, but because HE is!
He gave me all spiritual blessings in heavenly places - not someday, but right now!
Do you know what He did?
He cancelled the handwriting of ordinances that was against me.
He nailed it to His cross.
He blotted out my transgressions.
He remembered my sins no more.
Not because I kept the law - I couldn't!
Not because I earned it - I didn't!
Not because I deserved it - I never could!
But because of His grace - His unmerited, unearned, undeserved favor!
He revealed a mystery - hidden from ages and generations past!
A mystery that angels desired to look into!
A mystery that prophets searched for but couldn't find!
He made one new man - neither Jew nor Gentile!
He broke down the middle wall of partition!
He created one body - the church which is His body!
And I'm a member of that body!
Not because I joined it - He added me!
Not because I earned it - He placed me!
Not because I merited it - He baptized me into it by one Spirit!
Listen to what He gave me:
He quickened me when I was dead!
He raised me up from spiritual death!
He seated me in heavenly places in Christ Jesus!
He hid my life with Christ in God!
He didn't just forgive some of my sins - He forgave them ALL!
He didn't just save me partly - He saved me completely!
He didn't give me some blessings - He blessed me with ALL spiritual blessings!
That's my Savior!
His work is finished - He said so Himself!
His sacrifice is complete - once for all!
His blood is sufficient - nothing needs to be added!
He doesn't need my help to keep me saved.
He doesn't need my works to maintain my salvation.
He doesn't need my performance to secure my position.
I'm sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise!
That seal is the earnest - the down payment, the guarantee!
That seal is unto the day of redemption!
Do you know this Savior?
You can't outlast His grace - it's eternal!
You can't outrun His love - it's unfailing!
You can't out-sin His mercy - it triumphs over judgment!
You can't add to His finished work - it's complete!
You can't earn what He freely gave - it's a gift!
You can't lose what He's sealed - the Spirit Himself is the guarantee!
He's eternally faithful - He cannot deny Himself!
He's unchangeably loving - the same yesterday, today, and forever!
He's completely sufficient - in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily!
He's the Savior who justifies the ungodly!
He's the Savior who saves to the uttermost!
He's the Savior who is able to keep me from falling!
That's my Savior!
