When I feel lost with nowhere to run,
When the night is long and hides the sun,
When my heart is heavy, my faith feels small,
There’s still one voice that rises above it all.
Not in thunder,
Not in the wind,
But through Calvary,
You speak again.
I hear the cross when I feel lost.
When I feel confused, I hear Your truth.
When I feel like giving up,
I hear Your voice through the cross.
It whispers, “My child, you’re not alone.”
It says, “I’ve already carried your load.”
The cross still speaks,
The cross still calls,
And Your love is louder than it all.
When shame reminds me of who I’ve been,
Your mercy reminds me I’m Yours again.
When every answer seems so far away,
The cross keeps calling out my name.
Every nail,
Every scar,
Still declares
How loved we are.
The cross says, “Come.”
The cross says, “Stay.”
The cross says, “Grace has made a way.”
The cross says, “Rise.”
The cross says, “Live.”
There’s no greater love than this.
When fear is shouting,
Your cross is louder.
When doubt surrounds me,
Your cross is stronger.
When I can’t hear anything else…
I can still hear You there.
I hear the cross when I feel lost.
When I feel confused, I hear Your truth.
When I feel like giving up,
I hear Your voice through the cross.
You remind me the grave is empty,
The stone is rolled away.
Because of the cross, I have hope.
Because of the cross, I have peace.
Because of the cross…
I still believe.
Though the cross stood silent on that hill,
Its message echoes louder still.
In every broken heart that calls Your name,
The cross still speaks…
And Jesus is the same.
