Do you ever feel your mind’s about to break,
Like the weight of the world is more than you can take?
Like the walls are closing in without a sound,
And every step you take just pulls you farther down.
Some days I’m drowning in my own racing mind,
Searching for a little peace I just can’t seem to find.
I try to breathe, but the air feels so thin,
Fighting battles no one knows I’m living in.
There are mornings when I can’t get out of bed,
Every thought feels heavier inside my head.
I question everything, wondering where I belong,
Feeling like no matter what I do, it’s wrong.
Then I think about the ones who call my name,
My family, my son—they’re the reason I remain.
So I carry all this weight another day,
Even when I don’t know if I’ll find my way.
Sometimes I hide inside a dark and quiet room,
Trying to outrun the hurt, escape the gloom.
There are moments when I want to let it all unwind,
But I’m scared of being judged for speaking what’s inside.
When I finally find the courage just to say how I feel,
Those words come back around like they were never real.
So I bite my tongue and wear another disguise,
With a practiced smile hiding tired eyes.
If you could see the storm behind this face,
You’d understand why I’m so hard to replace.
I’m not looking for pity, I’m just trying to survive,
Holding onto hope, one day at a time.
So if you see me smiling, know there’s more to me,
Than the mask I wear for everyone to see.
I’m still standing through the chaos in my head,
Still searching for the light that hasn’t left me yet.
