(Male voice)from day one life has not been easy, was born sick with many afflictions threatening my life while still a child. My mother recounts one time after being in the hospital at four months old on our way home There was a shootout, and a lost bullet(bullet sound) passed between her shoulder and my face as she carried me. My life was always tough, fast forward, growing up in the Bronx, just to go to school felt like surviving mode. Used to get beat up didn’t understand why, did I fit the profile of the weakest link? was a magnet for bullies, they would find me and beat me. Found a place to hide and after a while came out just to get beat down again. Felt as if everything was against me, When I made it to high school a young man almost lost his life by a gang assault. When I saw that Fear gripped my heart, spoke to a friend in getting a gun, made up my mind if it came to it, will take a life. My heart now fastly darkened, was tired of the cruelty, but during that time I spoke to my brother sly, told him my displeasure, how I was processing what I’ve been feeling and what I’ve been through. He told me, “You need Jesus, only He can change your life around!” I felt it while He spoke to me, deep down inside. He was right, I felt Gods Spirit letting me understand, my mind was opened to an understanding I did not have before. He invited me to go to church that night, on Friday, October twenty seventh, nineteen ninety five, and I did. The church was packed not a single seat available. I sat behind one of the pillars of the church, The preacher, a mighty woman of God was preaching with a Special Anointing, she was Zealous (echo) and we were all locked in. as she preached she abruptly stopped speaking, she tilted her head as if someone was whispering in her ear. She then began to say, (woman voice) “The Lord is telling me, there is a young man here that He is giving the last opportunity to serve Him, take it or leave it!” (Echo)
(Male voice)When I heard her say those words I knew it was me. She then says, (woman voice) “ I want every believer to rise up” everyone got up but me. Then I saw her tilt to the right, She notices me sitting down, she points to me and says, (woman voice) “Young man, you’re the person The Lord is speaking about! Take it or leave it?” (Male voice) At that moment, I ran to the altar and my life forever changed. Life now makes sense Now that I have Christ on the inside. Life still has its challenges with many different battles and many times It seems as if I’m going to fail but God always meets me there. He gives me Victory, with The Power to Overcome. I now understand,what the enemy wanted to eliminate. He did not want me to reach my full potential in the Lord. He wanted to erase me before I came to Jesus. He knew I would be a threat to the kingdom of darkness a weapon in the Hands of The Almighty God. He trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!
