Reclaiming Fire

Lying here in the dark, drifting between tears and dreams

A chapter closed, a new dawn, or so it seems

Memories like shadows dance, flicker then fade away

But I find my strength in the quiet night where I stay

Used to wear masks, dance on the line, with every glance

Held my secrets close in shadows, craving that chance

Power in my hands, control in my veins, I was alive

Then love pulled me back, quiet my wild, made me hide

But now I rise, I claim my space, feel the fire ignite

From the ashes, I rebuild, reclaim my right

Sadness lingers but there's a spark that refuses to die

I'm stronger now, alone but whole, reaching for the sky

I'm coming back to who I am, unchained and free

No more chains, no more pain, just the real me

Smile in my heart despite the tears I sometimes cry

In solitude I find my strength, reach high enough to fly

Shadows of the past, echo softly on the wall
