Don't help an addict

My daughter is an addict..

as im sure u all can see..

That don't mean she's a monster..

turns out shes just like me..

The system tells u to run.

kick ur loved ones out the house..

dont worry bout where they're sleeping..

as long as it's not ur couch..

when she says shes starving..

don't believe it.. that's a lie...

dont help them with no money..

all they want.

. is to get high..

do not be an enabler..

then its ur fault if she o. d's..

dont help her with a dam thing..

even if shes begging on her knees..

when they told u use tough love

turn and walk away..

I bet some people did exactly..

that and regret it every day..

wake up and be greatful..

for everyone you have..

if ur an alcoholic addict..

a church going Mom and Dad..

everyone is human like everybody else..

listen to ur heart..

instead of someone else..

umm.. hold up just a min..

Who the hell gave u the rights..

aint no way im putting my baby girl out..

im staying right by her side..

how many addicts have u cured..

in all the years u tried to help..

that number would be zero..

I know cuz I been through it all my self..

aint no treatment center help me..

I did shit.. my own way..

its designed to keep people coming back..

I got clean on my own and Im sober to this day..

Who they think they helping..

taking someone kids..

that only makes shit so much worse..

and trust me they know this..

take away the kids..

just for getting high..

ruining entire famalies..

destroying people's lives..

kick them while they're down..

watch them struggle and lose it all..

expect them to get sober.. after..

u took the only thing that matters to them at all..

then they have the rules..

only if u comply..

ur starting ur life from scratch now..

all cuz u got high..

the kids can live with whoever CPS choose..

in any situation and that's fine..

but can't live with u the parent once ur clean..

until u have everything in line..

how does that make sense..

Who is helping who..

I think we've got things wrong.. and

there's nothing we can do..

wake up and be greatful..

for everyone you have..
