Pushing to the edge, how much can we take?

Broken pieces scattered, hopes start to shake

Lessons learned the hard way, questions in the dark

Expectations soaring, leaving behind a mark

Why do we hold on tight, to dreams that fade away?

Living in the shadows, lost in disarray

Responsibility weighing heavy, falling without a sound

Can we find a way out, or are we bound?

Life's just a test, a road we must traverse

Lessons in disguise, blessings or curses

Expectations rise, never coming down

Trying to stay afloat while breaking on the ground

No respect in dreams deferred, only tribulation

Living with the burden of others' expectation

Can we survive this game, or are we doomed?

Searching for meaning, trying to break the gloom

Maybe I was right, maybe this is all a fight

A test of strength, of will, to find the light

When the world pushes hard, we stand and endure

In the end, it’s all just a trial we’re made for

Silent echo in the crowded room,

Watching shadows fill the hollow gloom.

Is it luck or just my face?

Lost inside this crowded space.

They don't know my name, just a face in the crowd,

Feeding on the sparks, never speaking loud.

Wireless connections, yet so disconnected,

Hiding all my truths, feeling so rejected.

Am I just a ghost in their busy lives?

Or a secret behind these tired eyes?

Do they see the me I try to hide?

Or just the mask I wear with pride?

Have I become important on accident?

Or do they gravitate because of who I am?

Either way, they leave with something to hold,

While I am alone, left cold.

Try being me for just one day,

See the world through my lonely way.

No nurturer to tell me I’m enough,

Just silent nights and quiet stuff.

So here I stand, invisible yet present,

Hoping someday I'll feel consistent.
