Broken Pieces of Trust

Yeah, it’s a heavy load to carry,

Trust fractured, feelings vary.

Gave my soul, everything I had to give,

Thought we'd grow, found it hard to live.

Care so deep, it cut like a blade,

Now I’m lost in the shadows that you made.

Broken pieces, scattered on the floor,

Trying to mend what’s nothing like before.

Can’t rebuild what’s torn apart,

Trust in ruins, breaking my heart.

I’ve got trust issues, yeah, I know it’s true,

But I still believe in me and you.

When you treat my love like it’s nothing at all,

It’s like I’m falling, I’m bound to fall.

Can we find a way past the pain?

Learn to love, learn again.

Or am I just holding on?
