Whispers in the silent night,

Echoes of a love denied.

You say you love me, but your hands are cold,

Breaking every promise, leaving stories untold.

I scream inside, my heart in shades of blue,

Repeated words falling on deaf ears, true?

I reach out, try to make you see,

This pain inside, it’s all I bleed.

But you brush it aside like a passing ghost,

Leaving me lost, what hurts the most?

Why do you hurt me, purposely so?

Love’s supposed to heal, not bring sorrow.

I tell you my feelings, I cry out loud,

But you dismiss, don’t hear the sound.

Is it indifference or just fear?

The love I hold, so pure and clear.

Can’t you see my tears, my silent plea?

Or am I just another broken melody?

I’ll keep on loving, though it’s in vain,

Hope flickers in this endless pain.
