Some people call it the dark night of the soul.
Facing your demons. Breaking old patterns. Reprogramming your mind.
And through that journey, I learned something:
Every person who enters your life carries a lesson.
Every connection. Every challenge. Every heartbreak.
There was something there to teach me.
Some people taught me my worth.
Some people taught me what love looks like.
And some people taught me what love does not look like.
I learned that hurt people sometimes hurt others.
But I also learned something important:
Their pain is not my responsibility.
Everyone has to take accountability for their own healing.
I had pain inside me too.
But I chose not to use my pain as a weapon against others.
LEARNING MY POWER
I had to learn how to control my emotions.
I had to learn how to control my anger.
I had to learn that every situation does not deserve a reaction.
Sometimes silence is the strongest response.
Sometimes walking away is the biggest act of self-respect.
I learned to be still.
I learned to observe.
I learned to understand people.
I learned balance.
Because life is about balance.
Not everything deserves your energy.
Not everyone deserves access to your heart.
THE LESSON OF LOVE
For years, I gave everything I had to people who gave nothing back.
I poured from an empty cup.
I kept forgiving.
I kept allowing people back into my life who continued to hurt me.
And I kept asking myself:
“Why am I not enough?”
That question followed me for years.
Why do people keep hurting me? Why do I feel unwanted? Why do I feel unloved?
I realized something.
I wasn’t chasing love...
I was chasing the feeling of finally being loved.
I was searching for something I felt I never received.
I kept jumping from relationship to relationship looking for someone to fill a space inside me.
But eventually I learned:
Love cannot be chased.
Because if you chase love...
you will chase it forever.
Love begins within.
If you don’t love yourself, how can you expect others to understand your value?
If you don’t respect yourself, how can you expect others to respect you?
CHOOSING PEACE
I got tired of teaching people how to love me.
I got tired of teaching people how to respect me.
Love and respect should not have to be forced.
They should come naturally.
I used to fight for respect.
I used to let anger speak for me.
But I learned a different kind of power.
Wisdom.
I learned that you don’t have to lower yourself to someone else’s level.
You don’t have to match their chaos.
Sometimes the strongest thing you can say is:
“I understand what this is, and I choose peace.”
Then you walk away.
THE POWER WITHIN
I learned about ego.
I learned about pride.
I learned that the first battle is always inside yourself.
Because when you control your ego...
you control your power.
Your power was never in other people.
Your power was always inside you.
Never give someone else the ability to control your peace.
MY PURPOSE
Today, I understand my purpose.
I am here to help people heal.
To inspire.
