(Verse 1)
If you aim up for heaven,
the tougher the world will become,
In every step there’s opposition,
from Satan and his evil minions.
and all who break God's commandments,
Earthly rulers will intervene,
You will meet tribulations and hardships,
Bitter speeches and mockery.
Men will press you to keep laws
that cause you to betray Christ.
Here is where we find the cross of eternal
life
(Chorus)
Righteousness is doing right,
and we’ll all be judged by how we lived our lives.
So Nothing we say has value,
unless our actions reveal Christ
(Verse 2)
When a Christian walks humbly with the
Lord,
they are called exclusive and
non-pragmatic,
And If they are zealous,
the world will call him a FANATIC.
He speaks the truth with conviction in the
spirit
and power of Elijah,
proclaiming the Lord’s advent,
they will call him impulsive.
they say he is boycotting everything
but his beliefs.
(Chorus)
Righteousness is doing right, and we’ll all be judged by how we lived our lives.
So Nothing we say has value,
unless our actions reveal Christ
(Bridge)
Let grace change a Christian,
when they’re recreated,
and the world will never understand it.
It is the unseen, inner life
that is intertwined with the life of Christ,
that the world will never realize
(Verse 3)
When your names are slandered,
and friends take you for granted,
remember how Jesus was treated on this planet.
it was your sins that made the cross demanded.
(Chorus)
Righteousness is doing right, and we’ll all be judged by how we lived our lives.
So Nothing we say has value,
unless our actions reveal Christ
(Ended spoken word)
Our trials are all necessary to bring us close to our heavenly Father, in obedience to His will, that we may offer to the Lord an offering in righteousness.
All who become a partaker of His divine nature
will be in harmony with God's great standard of righteousness
