Faith in the Fire

**Verse 1**

In Babylon’s land, a golden statue stood tall,

But three faithful men would not bow at all.

Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego stood strong and true,

“Our God can deliver, but still we won’t bow to you.”

Faith in the fire, they would not bow,

Trusting their God to deliver some how.

Not alone in the furnace, for God was there—

Faithful and fearless, held in His care.

**Verse 2**

The furnace was blazing, seven times more,

Bound and cast in, yet they walked on the floor.

A fourth man appeared, shining bright as the day,

God’s presence beside them, the flames kept away.

Not alone in the furnace, for God was there—

They stepped from the fire, not a hair out of place,

No smell of the smoke, just the touch of God’s grace.

The king gave them honor and praised God above,

For faith that stands firm is the faith God loves.
