Rolling with the tide, under a crimson sky

Storms above, currents collide

Working on the river, day and night

Fighting to keep my pride

Steel barges on the water, churning through the flow

North or south, I gotta go, no time for slowing down

Weather’s fury, wind's a wall, rain’s a bitter whip

But I gotta keep things steady, I can't lose my grip

I pretend I don’t miss the town, the woman I left behind

But those memories, they linger, like the fog that I find

At dawn’s first light, I face the fight, risking all I’ve got
