We stand with Jesus, this holy day
When he ascended to the skies to stay
He now is seated, at God’s right hand
From there he rules o’er all the land
At his ascension
We worship him
Up to the skies we gaze,
What fear we feel within.
How will we manage
To carry on
When Christ our blessed Lord and Savior,
Is gone?
Our eyes are fastened, upon the cloud
How Jesus vanishes on high, without a sound.
Our eyes, fixated, upon the sky
Not knowing what has really happened, or why.
At his ascension
We worship him
Up to the skies we gaze
What fear we feel within.
How will we manage
To carry on
When Christ our blessed Lord and Savior,
Is gone?
For though he’s vanished, Into the sky
When Him we need, We pray to him on high.
Now, thus descending, from yonder hill
Our hearts are filled, and joyous still!
And thus we worship, and follow Him
His love and peace we feel within.
The Holy Spirit, to us will come
And bring us comfort, peace, and love.
At his ascension
We worship him
Up to the skies we gaze
What fear we feel within.
How will we manage
To carry on
When Christ our blessed Lord and Savior,
Is gone?
