Traded gravel roads for a shoreline view,
Rust on my truck, but my heart felt new,
Salt in the air, sun burnin’ through,
First time feelin’ ocean blue.
Left my worries in the glove compartment,
Let the waves wash off my days,
Found a little bit of heaven
In the rhythm of the tide that stays.
Dusty boots and barefoot sand,
Cold drink sweatin’ in my hand,
Radio hummin’ some old love band,
Life feels easy where the blue meets land.
No fences here, no county lines,
Just driftwood dreams and losin’ time,
Heart wide open, feelin’ fine—
Out here where the stars and water shine.
Seashell wind chimes singin’ low,
Bonfire sparks in a sunset glow,
Footprints fading in a soft tide flow,
Just you, me, and a moonlight show.
If I had to choose where to lose all my fears,
I’d lay ‘em down right by these watery tears,
Let the ocean hum it in my ears,
Like an old back road after years.
Dusty boots and barefoot sand,
Same old heart, just a freer man,
Sun sink slow like a prayed-for plan,
Thankin’ God for sea, sky, and land.
