Bracing for Winter

Winter's whispering, cold winds in my ear

Memories of summer, now so clear

Holding on to moments, sparking cheer

Gotta keep moving, gotta clear my fear

Thoughts racing like a river, fast and deep

Brother's laughter in my dreams, I keep

Plans we made beneath the sun, now steep

In the shadows, I find strength, I leap

Gear up, get ready for the cold

Fuel the fire, keep the heat, stay bold

Dreams of roads and travels untold

Heart stays warm, never grows old

Winter's coming, gotta brace the storm

Carry on, keep my spirit warm

Memories high, every night and morn

Facing the cold, I will transform

New tint for the windows, bright yet true

Propane heater burning through

Savings for the rides I pursue

Moving forward, nothing I can't do

So much to handle, time slipping away

But I keep going, come what may
