[Verse 1]
Wake up, check my phone, lose faith in the species,
Everybody’s loud but nobody’s thinkin’ deeply.
Got a million hot takes, zero receipts,
Walkin’ around confident while trippin’ on their own feet.
Arguin’ facts with a meme they found online,
Couldn’t pour water from a boot with instructions on the side.
Everybody’s “alpha,” everybody’s “right,”
But ask ’em one real question—watch the system blue-screen, night-night.
I ain’t mad that you’re wrong, man, everybody slips,
I’m mad you act like Google doesn’t even exist.
Volume ain’t wisdom, likes don’t make truth,
Quit actin’ like your echo chamber handed you proof.
[Pre-Chorus]
I’m surrounded by static, I swear it’s contagious,
Reading headlines only, now they’re all the greatest.
Confidence sky-high, knowledge in the basement—
Somebody save us…
[Chorus]
I’m losing my mind in a world gone numb,
Everybody yellin’, nobody’s learned nothin’.
If common sense had a grave, it’d be six feet deep,
I’m just tryin’ to survive all these NPCs.
Take a breath, use your brain for a minute,
Not every thought deserves the internet with it.
I don’t hate people—I hate wasted potential,
Think before you speak… it’s really that simple.
[Verse 2]
If ignorance was money, you’d all be billionaires,
Building castles outta rumors while you’re breathing recycled air.
Read half a sentence, now you’re suddenly a scholar,
Got a doctorate in nonsense with a coupon and a dollar.
Everybody chasing clout like it’s oxygen tanks,
Selling out integrity for comments and ranks.
If critical thinking was a gym, it’d be empty all day,
But the selfie section’s packed every single damn day.
I’m tired of excuses wrapped up as opinions,
Facts don’t disappear ‘cause you got a million minions.
You can disagree, that’s part of the design,
But don’t confuse your feelings with objective every time.
[Bridge]
Maybe I’m cynical… maybe I’m tired.
Maybe watching common sense expire lit the fire.
Maybe if we listened twice as much as we screamed,
We’d wake up from this never-ending fever dream.
[Final Chorus]
I’m losing my mind in a world gone numb,
Everybody talkin’ like they’re number one.
Slow it down, think it through before you hit “send,”
Maybe then we’d all start acting human again.
I’m not asking for perfection, just a little self-awareness,
Less ego, more questions—that’s the thing that’s rarest.
Till then I’ll keep laughing while I write these lines,
Trying not to lose my faith… one rhyme at a time.
