The Morning of Resurrection

Whispers of a dawn, the silence breaking free

Echoes through the tomb, a mystery we see

They told us of a prophet, the maker of the land

Power in his words, in his deeds he made a stand

Handed over, crucified, broken and betrayed

Hope whispered in shadows, love was displayed

We had our hopes, we dreamed of the king

But darkness fell, and the sorrow’d sting

Yet in our hearts, a flicker remained

A promise of life, unchained

Alive, alive, beyond the grave’s cold chain

Rising in the dawn, breaking every chain

He’s alive, beyond our pain

From the dead, he rose again

Early in the morning, women found the stone moved aside

Saw visions of angels, with news they couldn’t hide

He’s not here, they said, risen as foretold

A story of salvation, brave and bold

We saw the empty tomb, believed anew

In every shadow, hope broke through

The prophet’s words, the ancient prophecies

Alive in every story, in all we believe

He’s alive, beyond our pain

From the dead, he rose again

Foolish we were, slow to see

The divine that sets us free

But now we stand, face the sun
