Mom and dad how did you do it?

When so many could not get thru it

You started out when times were tougher

We’ll never know just what you suffered

But thru the years and all the tears

And sleepless night and sometimes fights

You found a way, you found a reason

And God reached down and showed you….. Jesus……..

This is your Legacy, you raised a family

Who raised a family, you did the best you could

You could have gave up but you didn’t

You could have turned around and quit it

But you both found a way to do

Where so many others failed,

You found each other, our dad and mother

This is your Legacy,

You gotta hold on, cause it’s not over

There’s Bible stories that we’ll discover!

Those recipes won’t cook themselves.

And mom there’s dust still on those shelves

And dad you’re gonna keep on singing

Cause heaven bells, well they’re not ringing
