Shadows in the Night

Shadows lurking in the night, shadows lurking in my mind

Can't escape these endless fights, shadows swallow human kind

Every glance I take, I see the scars of pain, the silent screams

Echoes of the broken chains, unraveling all my hopes and dreams

Lies whisper in the air, they dance around my weary soul

Disease creeping everywhere, taking more than I can control

Is there a way to break free? From the darkness closing in

Seeking light, trying to see, if there's strength to rise again

In a world of death and lies, I search for something real

Through the sickness and disguise, I long for a cure to heal

Fighting through the despair, fighting for a better day

Holding on to what’s rare, hope will find a way

Cries in the night, shadows collide

Battles inside, nowhere to hide

But I’ll stand tall, break the chain

Find the strength to heal the pain

Though I see death, lies, and disease, I refuse to bow
