When the river runs

When the river runs it sends everything down,when the river runs it can sometimes drown ,ohh when the river runs it feels like its chasing me down,when the river runs my memories flow right to you ,ohh these memories these tears have no sound when I think of you ohhh when I think of you ohh thats when the river runs.

I think about the days sittin on that river bank just you and me ,listening to that whippoorwill whistling in that old oak tree those quiet nights watching the lightning bugs light up the sky ,the way you looked in the moonlight,all I have are these memories, reminding me, how much i miss you ,i hope your missing me too,sometimes I drive to our old spot ,just to look at the water and just let that river run.

When it hurts it hurts worse than anything I've ever felt sometimes I just cant help myself i let that river run down my face knowing your not right here next to me ,was it me or was it you why did it come down to this i thought I was the man you wanted i guess I was wrong I cant help but get lonely and sad I still wonder what did i do ,cant help but sit on this bank and think of you ,ohhh when the river runs ohhhh when the river runs it runs to you.

Maybe one day ill get passed this pain that causes tears to fall down like rain I know im hurting deep inside im trying really hard not to let these feelins show right now my memories always go right back to you I wonder what your doin right now are you missing me as much as I miss you,if you do just know I'll be where we always were where what whippoorwill would sing where the fireflies light up the night sky why ohhh why am I here all alone ohhhh when the river runs .
