Inner Battles

Demons in my head, a mosh pit in my mind,

Swingin’ fists at shadows, tryna leave 'em behind.

Thoughts sharper than a dagger, cuttin’ through the calm,

Sleepin’ on a battlefield, alarm after alarm.

Fighting these ghosts, I’m throwin’ hands with the air,

Wrestling my fears, they lurk everywhere.

Caged in my skull, but I’m breakin’ the chain,

Runnin’ through the fire just to dance in the rain.

Voices in my ear, whispers turn to screams,

Nightmares wide awake, shatterin’ my dreams.

Mind a warzone, no ceasefire in sight,

Every thought a bullet, dodgin' through the night.

Clenched fists, sweat drips, heart pounds like a drum,

Fighting for the silence but the chaos won’t succumb.

Light at the tunnel’s end, or is it just a flame?

Demons laughin’ loud, callin’ out my name.

I swing at my reflection, but the mirror won’t crack,

Shadows in the corner, they keep comin’ back.

Armor made of scars, every wound a tale,

But I rise like a phoenix, even when I fail.
