You walked in like a sunrise on a day I didn’t know I needed

Soft hands, loud presence —

You spoke in vibrations my body could read

And baby, I read every line,

Even the ones between

You were honey on a bitter day

A Sunday sermon with no church

A poem in a world of noise

I let myself believe you were the destination

Not just the route
