Shadows of My Mind

Walls closing in, shadows on my mind,

Lost in the dark, no hope to find,

Echoes of silence, scream in my head,

Wish I could wake up from this dread.

Every day’s a battle, fighting the doubt,

Trying to smile, but my heart screams out,

Lonely nights and my tears fall like rain,

Carrying burdens, drowning in pain.

Feeling so broken, wondering if I’ll mend,

Searching for love but it feels pretend,

Thoughts in my head, they won’t let me go,

Hoping for light, but it’s oh so slow.

Drowning inside, crying out for help,

Feeling so lost, just trying to tell myself,

Maybe I’m a burden, maybe I’m wrong,

But these feelings inside are so strong.

If I could find a way, to turn this around,

Speak my truth, let my voice resound,

Hoping someday, I’ll see the dawn,

Hold on tight, keep fighting On.

So I’ll keep fighting through the night,

Seek the dawn, find the light,

Every scar, every tear, they tell my story,

One day I’ll find my way to glory.
