Lost my dad at 35 
Didn’t know how I would survive 
Thought I wouldn’t make it 
I really couldn’t take it 
Night after night cried and cried 
Couldn’t wipe tears from my eyes 
Cause my momma was hurting too

Felt like it was the end

the one who taught you everything

Go to school stay smart

And then one day he was gone 
Just like that 
I don’t know if he will ever come back 
But I wish that he could and I pray someday somehow someway 
That I live like my daddy did and pass on to that heavenly place 
Only to see his face one more time 
See his smile laugh at his frown
Oh how time has passed since I saw my daddy last 
How I miss him so much
