The Fractal Blooms

Born in hush, the grayscaled tide

Thoughts move like shadows, I have nowhere else to hide

Then came all the colors, raw and oh-so-bright

Pulling me from the dark back into the light

Now I can see

Now I can breathe

Knife’s edges blur as the thoughts continue to unwind

Questions echo over and over, but they leave no other signs

As the maps begin to collapse and the frame begins to decay

Truth won’t fit into all my patterned wicked ways

I trace the knife’s edge with my open hands

Beyond that noise, here, I’ll make my final stand

I cut the thread that kept me bound

And feel the signal as it comes to me in the shape of sound
