Shadows in My Room

Shadows dance on my wall, whispers calling softly,

Nightmares crawling, shadows tall, haunting me softly.

Grandma’s words, a warning spun, stories of a devil’s game,

Confused, I didn't understand, fear hid behind my name.

One night, a hand reached through the glass,

Black and cold, a moment that wouldn’t pass.

Cries in darkness, a silent plea,

Truth unfolds, it was my own family.

Fears in the shadows, faces in the wall,

Waiting for the night to fall.

Hidden secrets, buried so deep,

Memories I couldn't keep.

Years of hiding, never sleeping, haunted by what I’ve seen,

The devil wasn't outside, it was part of my team.

Now I see, clear and bright, shadows lose their hold,

Fear can’t control me, stories told and retold.
