Waiting for Home

Longing for the sky where I belong, a homeland beyond

Waiting in the shadows of my soul, trying to stay strong

Fighting tears in the quiet hours, my heart is torn

Seeking comfort in the spirit's power, since I was born

Earth’s façade is beautiful but the people bring pain

Wishing I could leave this hurt behind, escape the rain

Every test, every trial, feels like too much to bear

Yet Your love keeps me afloat, Your presence always there

Holy Spirit, my guiding light through endless night

Hold me close, remind me I’m destined for Your light

I just wanna go home, to where my soul is free

To be with You, my Father, my King, eternally

This earthly life is heavy, burdens that don’t cease

Waiting for that wedding day, for perfect peace

Mistakes and failures shadow me, nearly lost my way

But Your grace has brought me through each dark day

My mission here feels endless, a test of faith and trust

Every scar, every lesson is part of what I must

Hold on, I cry out to You, my refuge and shield

In Your arms, I find the strength that I need to heal

Father, I miss the joy of being in Your embrace
