Clock's ticking, no end in sight

Chasing shadows in the dead of night

Dawn to dusk, I wear the same old disguise

Never catch my breath, there's no room for surprise

Sweat and tears, I've traded them for gold

Living for the grind, never young, never old

Is this the life I chose or just the one I know?

Fading dreams beneath the neon glow

Working until I die, just to stay alive

Burning out the candle at both ends, I survive

Holding on to hope, in this endless fight

Working till I melt away, fading into night

Echoes of laughter, memories of a better day

Lost in the hustle, watched my spirit sway

But deep inside, there's a whispered cry

For freedom, for peace, before I say goodbye

So I keep on pushing, through the pain and rain

Hoping someday, I’ll break these chains again
